Lunar New Year marks a time of renewal and reflection. Rooted in traditions that honor family, ancestors, and the turning of the seasons. It is a celebration of letting go of what no longer serves you and welcoming good fortune, health, and happiness in the year ahead.

Fortune cookies, while not traditionally part of Lunar New Year celebrations, have become a playful symbol of luck and possibility. Cracking one open is a small moment of anticipation. It is a fun reminder that the future is still unwritten. Whether taken seriously or with a smile, those little slips of paper invite us to believe that good things may be just around the corner.

Slimedemic opened a new venture late last year called Fortune Cookie Clay. I commented immediately how they’d make an amazing slime charm. In a little way of giving back, she sent me some goodies for participating in her fundraisers and a black cat version and some prototypes of potential charms. From there, we talked about how it would cool to feature them on a Lunar New Year slime for our shop.

Good Fortune is a fluffy slay.  This is the first time having this texture in our shop. It features two clays and three glues.  It also has some extra goodness to make it inflate easily. It is topped with a clear 2 oz red silica topper, gold foil, and gold star sequins. Just a warning, the gold foil will stick to the charm, so you may want to add it away from where the charm will rest. The slime is scented candied fruits and butter sugar cookie.

The charms were hand made by Fortune Cookie Clay. They are delicately painted in a deep red with a gold trim.  A few lucky buyers will have a Good Fortune and  receive a mystery solid gold painted charm at random.
